PathFinder

PathFinder is Cheah Jun Jie's final-year project: an Android accessibility app that helps visually impaired people with hazard awareness, navigation and emergency communication, through voice and haptic feedback.

• On-device object detection for vehicles, pedestrians, traffic lights and crosswalks, with motion tracking and monocular distance estimation to prioritise hazards.
• GPS- and compass-assisted voice navigation using Google Maps services.
• A Firebase-backed SOS workflow with contact prioritisation and automatic retry calling.

HOW IT IS BUILT
